Reservations
A deposit equal to your first-night stay + taxes and fees will be charged at the time of booking. The remaining balance will be billed when you arrive.
Cancellations/Changes
We understand that sometimes your travel plans will change. Please let us know 7 or more days ahead of your arrival date if you need to make changes. For reservations booked directly through Hotel Charlotte, there is a $30.00 processing fee per hotel room for all cancellations and reschedules. If you cancel or reschedule less than 7 days before your arrival, you will forfeit your deposit. Cancellations on or after the date of arrival, as well as no-call/no-shows, will be charged the full stay.
Mountain passes are subject to storm closures, and Highway 108 (Sonora Pass) and Tioga Pass are subject to seasonal closures. Winter driving conditions requiring chains or 4-wheel drive are possible. You are responsible for understanding the road and weather conditions. We are not responsible for road conditions, weather, family situations, illness, flight delays, breakdowns, flat tires, flaky friends, or anything else that would prevent you from making your reservation on your scheduled date of arrival.
If you made your reservation through a third party (Expedia, Booking.com, AirBnb, etc.), you are responsible for adhering to the policies that you agreed to at the time of booking.
Hotel Charlotte reserves the right to refuse service to any individual whose behavior is unruly, inhospitable, disruptive, or in violation of our property policies. We are committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and enjoyable environment for all guests and staff.
Check-in/Check-out Times
Guests are welcome to check in between 4:00 pm and 8:30 pm.
Check-out time is 11:00 am.
Parking
There is free guest parking behind the hotel. Snow and ice may be present. Please use caution to avoid slips and falls.
Room Selection
We offer a variety of accommodation types. Guests are responsible for understanding the type they have reserved. We make every effort to keep you in the room you have chosen; however, there are times when we do have to move folks around. If this happens, you will get an equal room in size, price, and amenities, and may even be upgraded at no additional charge.
Occupancy
Room rates are based on listed occupancy. Additional guests over the age of 2 are $40.00/person, per night. Maximum occupancy of each room may not be exceeded.
Dogs
When it comes to vacations, we know how difficult it can be to leave your four-legged companion behind. At Hotel Charlotte, you don’t have to! Our dog-friendly hotel in Groveland, CA, ensures that your pup is just as relaxed and comfortable as you are. What’s better than that?
We offer dog-friendly lodging for guests here at Hotel Charlotte in rooms 7, 8, and 15. Our dog-friendly accommodations have just the right amount of space for you, your family, and of course your pup!
There is a $40.00 fee, per dog, per night, for dogs in our dog-friendly hotel rooms. Dogs registered in non-dog-friendly rooms will be charged $100 per dog, per night. We can allow a maximum of 2 dogs in each dog-friendly room.
There is no pet fee charged for registered service animals. Service animals can be in any of our rooms at no additional cost. Emotional support animals are not recognized as service animals in the state of CA, the only exception being San Francisco. We are unable to accommodate pets that are not dogs. Guests will need to adhere to the pet policy and are subject to standard pet fees.
Lost & Found
We hope that you don’t leave items behind, but we know from our own travels that it does happen. If you have lost something somewhere along your trip, give us a call. If it is in our lost and found box, we will gladly mail it back to you for the cost of postage and a $10 handling fee.
Smoking
Smoking of any kind is not allowed in the hotel, restaurant, guest rooms, or within 20 feet of any operable doors or windows. An additional cleaning fee of $250 will be incurred if this policy is not respected. Do not bring used cigarette butts into the hotel. Rooms that smell like smoke will incur an additional cleaning fee of $250.
Damages
You will be responsible for any damages to your room or furnishings during your stay caused by you, members of your party, or your pets. You are responsible for the cost of any items missing from your room upon checkout. You may be charged if your room requires extensive deep cleaning or special treatment after your stay.
Privacy Policy
The Hotel Charlotte collects emails to respond to your reservation requests. We do not sell or share information we have gathered about our guests with any other company or person for any purpose.*
