Yosemite Cellars
If you’re looking for a relaxed setting in which to enjoy great wines and beautiful surroundings, look no further than Yosemite Cellars. This hidden gem is located on the outskirts of Groveland about 12 minutes from Hotel Charlotte. This family-owned vineyard and winery is a dream come true for owners Cheryl and Ron Harms. The land on which the winery sits was purchased by Ron’s parents in 1958 as a home site. The location provides picture-perfect views at nearly every turn.
Today, the vineyard and winery sits 3,000 feet above sea level and produces wine made exclusively from grapes grown on the estate. Through the use of sustainable farming practices and careful pruning and weed management, these beautiful grapes have been able to thrive and flourish.
Yosemite Cellars is known for wines that reflect the “true character” of the fruit. Sample their Syrah, Rose, Tannat and more, and be sure to buy a bottle or two to take home and enjoy after your trip.
Yosemite Wine Tasting at Yosemite Cellars
Wine tastings are offered every Saturday from May through September from 12 – 5 p.m. Please make an appointment prior to arrival. The wine tastings are held in an outdoor venue with views of the vineyard and the Sierra Foothills.
