Arriving to Groveland from Yosemite: There are no reported problems out of the Yosemite Valley to Groveland. You can call the Yosemite Road & Weather Hotline near your travel dates to check for today's road conditions, 209-372-0200.

The route to the Hotel Charlotte is unaffected by the Highway 140 road delays caused by the Ferguson Slide.

Arriving in Groveland from the West: The recommended routes into Groveland are unaffected by the rockslide, please see our e Map & Directions page for specifics.

Highway 140 Closure: Due to the Ferguson Ridge rock slide
Starting at 1:00 p.m. on Friday August 18th Highway 140 will be open to traffic from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily.

For those who like a curves, a trip through Mariposa on highway 49 is a marvelous adventure. Perhaps you are arriving to the area through Merced or just touring the southern Gold Rush towns along Route 49 and want to catch the symphony or gemstone Museum, if so, put a stop in Mariposa on your list of things to do.
