I can't believe we are just a weekend away from Labor Day, the final passage of summer. In many ways, it seems to have gone so very quickly.
Goose Goes to Sacramento: That's right, not-yet-Mayor, Goose is already representing Groveland and making a positive impact in our State's Capital. Of all the wierd, wild and wacky things, Goose was chosen to represent Groveland in the Tuolumne County booth at the California State Fair, for which the county won a gold medal. Coming up at the Charlotte: Quaffing the Coast! Our next wine dinner series with Sommelier Nicole Daraqc, both an entertainer and a winie-foodie. Guests may purchase season tickets for $250 pp for 5 dinners or $65 individually. Out of town guests can purchase the wine dinner and room for $229 per couple. Add a Yosemite exploration and more packages online.

9/3-9/7 Strawberry Music Festival, Labor Day Weekend at Camp Mather (Evergreen Road) near Yosemite www.StrawberryMusic.com. This festival has run for decades, Groveland children are brought up on Bluegrass & Jazz and have a passion for outdoor music venues!
9/4 Yosemite Courtyard Theatre: The Unauthorized Rolling Stones. Peggy 209.962.4000. These fantastic outdoor tribute bands make for a wonderful night of dinner theater. Just across the street from the Charlotte, dine with us and then off to the show!
9/6 Country BBQ fundraiser for STCHS (Historical Society) Pine Mountain Lake Stables, www.grovelandmuseum.org This fundraising event features live entertainment, horses, country barbecue, kids' activities, car show, historical displays, photos and artifacts, raffles, bake sale and Honorary Mayor Stump Off!
9/11 & 12 Yosemite Courtyard Theatre: Jack Foltyn as Elvis The Groveland Hotel at Yosemite National Park. Peggy 209.962.4000. Jack is the best Elvis we have ever seen, a brilliant show!

9/18 Groveland's 2009-2010 Mayor Announced by the Yosemite Chamber of Commerce at Mountain Sage, 5:30 pm. All donors are invited free of charge!
9/19 Umpteenth annual 49er Festival and Chili Cook-off Downtown Groveland and MLC Park www.Groveland.org. The biggest Groveland event of the year. Includes parade through downtown, free live music all day, live auctions, raffle, chili cook-off and a whole lot more. Proceeds benefit many Groveland area non-profits
9/20 Live at the Sage: The Marc Atkinson Trio Mountain Sage Amphitheater www.mtnsage.com. A fantastic Sierra venue, don't miss the experience of the Mountain Sage outdoor stage.
