Dear Friends,
Since our last newsletter mentioning our mild winter weather, we have had heaps of snow, even down to Groveland's gentle 2850 foot elevation!
I have shoveled a lot. This can only mean good things for our coming waterfall season. The rivers are roaring now, even as we pile more snow on top of the heaps that have fallen this month.

How badly do you wish you were here? ....Watching.....Water....Fall...

Recent guests sent this picture in upon return home. They explored and enjoyed all Yosemite has to offer with its winter wonders!

Stilts is part of our parade, festivals and holiday decorating.Festival Season is just around the corner. Please check our calendar for a comprehensive list of fun things happening in Groveland, Coulterville and surrounding areas. Our next special event coming up is the first of three Groveland Art Strolls, where we invite artisans of varying mediums to set up booths in front of participating merchants and locations around downtown. Visitors are invited to stroll our village, checkout our shops, meet some of the Groveland folks, buy a little art... Spend the day away from home.

Other stroll dates include Sunday, July 2nd and Sunday, September 3rd. Mark your Calendars! (There is still time for Interested artists to get a space. Please Contact me for showing information)

These strolls qualify for our Stay & Play package rate.

The Condo is on the way to Yosemite. Good value for longer term stays.Condo Charlotte on the way to Yosemite: is now open for business! Last summer we bought a little condo over in Pine Mountain Lake, hoping we would sometimes get away...what were we thinking? The Condo is 2 bedrooms, each with their own bath. The master has a private balcony over looking the 5th hole. Downstairs is a full kitchen with a patio for bbqs, a nice dining area and another full bath. The living room has a day bed and futon couch, fireplace, television and a large balcony. Condo rents starts at $145 a night for two people, breakfast and all the hotel amenities included.

You can pick up more details online at www.HotelCharlotte.com/condo.html

Las Vegas to Yosemite, Tioga Pass, Lee ViningLas Vegas to Yosemite routes
Coming to Yosemite from LV? Visit our Las Vegas Itinerary to help get you here (or there) during the winter and spring months when Tioga Pass is closed. We will have some beautiful weather soon, and you might think you can get across 120 to 395, but this won't happen until late May-June. This itinerary isn't really about what to do in Las Vegas, but about getting to or from Yosemite via LV with various weather conditions, time constraints and a couple of hand picked stops along the way to make the trip a little more interesting.

Guest Chef Italian Fiesta FUNdraiser recap:
What started as a great night of Italian foods with fiends turned into an aceppella concert with musical renditions of famous Italian songs sung in a fashion that few would actually recognize. That, followed by Happy Birthday and a couple of songs we shouldn’t print the words to ….and the night was a hoot for all who participated. We raised over $756 to further fund the Groveland Hospitality & Culinary Arts Scholarship for Tioga High students who continue their education through Columbia College.

We hope you will join us the next time around! Guest Chef events qualify for our stay & play rates.

Having traveled many of the freeways, byways and out-of-the-ways in and beyond Groveland, we are well prepared to help plan your trip to our little town and beyond. If you know someone heading our way, Hotel Charlotte, in Groveland on the way to Yosemite National Parkwon't you forward this newsletter their way? Thank you.

We look forward to welcoming you (Again!)
