I check the Yosemite webcam every couple of days and see there is still snow in the valley. In my rarely so humble opinion, this is when the park is at it's most glorious--all flocked in white. Recipe Research Update: we are in Picton, New Zealand. A paradise for sure. They are celebrating their annual festival along the waterfront and it is very reminiscent of Groveland and home with the 49er festival. Tomorrow we will be in Christchurch for the world Busker Faire, annother winning stop no doubt!
This is our first cruise and I am having a hard time getting to a computer to blog. There is an activity planned nearly all the time and they are all very interesting. We have attended food demonstrations, wine tastings, triva contests, a kitchen tour, learned about folding napkins, coffees from around the world, a lecture on propper bar glasses for every cocktail and oh so much more! On days we get off the ship that too is an all new adventure, not as exotic as Asai, but still very interesting.
Clock & Sleep Package: Victor has discovered a second hand store with clocks...many antique clocks. We have purchased and overiszed suit case to bring some clocks home for our Clock and Stay package. Charlotte Winter Entertainment Schedule: Our calendar is filled with many great activities this winter, we hope you have signed up for your favorites. Those who don't live in Groveland should consider our stay and play packages and do an overnight with one of our fun dinners.
- Saturday, February 14th: Valentine's Dinner
- Sunday, February 22nd: Sipping Amador, a wine dinner with Nicole Darracq, our favorite Sommelier
- Sunday, March 1st: Chianti & Crab Feast, Caesar Salad, 1/2 Crab Ciappino, Garlic bread, 1/2 a bottle of Chianti & Tirimasu for dessert. $29 tax and tip included
- Mondays starting March 2nd: Mensa Mondays, a continuation of last year's game night, with Trivial Pursuit as the cornerstone featuring custom questions, great prizes and a menu with choices from $9.99. While playing is not required, having fun is guaranteed so come on down and let us warm you up with good food and lots of giggles.
- Sunday, March 8th, Cabaret with Dennis Brown & Friends, a whole new show
- Sunday, March 22nd: Sipping El Dorado, the last of the Sipping through the Sierra Series with our sommelier of the night, Nicole Darracq
- Friday, March 27th: Pine Cone Players Gala Dinner-Theatre for the world Premier of Groveland's got Talent
- Sunday, April 5th, Cabaret with Dennis Brown & Friends, a reprise of the March show for those who were out of town for that date.
