We enjoyed a lunch aboard the Queen Mary, very much of the Titanic era. The earlier elegance just oozes from the gold
trimmed everything.

Annual Recipe Research Update: We are on our annual recipe research trip, returning to open the restaurant for Valentine's Day. Our trip this year is an exploration more of California and the fresh cuisine made famous by our year round access to great vegetables, fish and oodles more. My favorite find so far is a shrimp cocktail martini.

My second marvelous discovery is the California winter beach scene, La Jolla Coast, January 2006deliciously void of the crush of people found on the coast during the summer months. Our weather has been fabulous and we stayed at some truly special places. I will write a few new itineraries to aid visitors traveling throughout California in finding the Hotel Charlotte & Groveland when starting from different parts of the state.
