Dear Friends & Family,
As many of you are aware, Groveland and the surrounding area has been in the midst of a devastating wildfire for the past two and a half weeks. The fire started on August 17th and has continued to rage until now. Thankfully the firefighters have gotten it under control and it is mainly contained at this point. Unfortunately the fire caused highway 120 to Yosemite to closed, but as of today,
Some facts about the fire:
Unfortunately the fire has brought a quicker end to summer than we had all hoped as well as making many of you have to change your plans at the last minute. We want to let you all know that while the fire came close to Groveland, we were left unharmed from the flames. We welcome you back for either a memorable meal at the Charlotte Bistro & Bar or to stay for a relaxing evening in the hotel.
As someone being fairly new to the Sierra Foothills and never having been around a fire of this magnitude before, I'm learning so much from fire prevention, to the power of nature to the aftermath. The aftermath of the fire can be devastating, but it can also be intriguing and beautiful. We invite you all to take the time to visit us this fall and winter to see the "moonscape" created by the fire and then come again in the spring to see an explosion of wild flowers fostered by the ashes of the fire.
The holidays are just around the corner and it is the perfect time to get some of your gifts out of the way. What better gift than treating a loved one to a relaxing and romantic night at the Hotel Charlotte or dinner and drinks at the Charlotte Bistro & Bar. We running a few gift certificate specials, $50 gift certificate for $40, $125 gift certificate for $100 or a $200 gift certificate for $150. Mention "Rim Fire Special" for these exclusive savings.
I can't believe that fall is here, but with that, we have an array of fall and winter events just around the corner and we'd love for you to join us for any of the following events. As we get closer, I'll include more details for each event, as well as, a few new events as they are finalized.
