Goose, the hotel dog, is one of
our most popular amenities.
Besides "stupid pet tricks"
he is also running for
Honorary Mayor of Groveland.

The series of photos on this side are from a few of our black tie events, a few New Years, a Friday the 13th party an 80th birthday party and a 25th Anniversary.

New Year's Eve at the Charlotte

Even after 25 year!

He in his tux and she her glitter. JUst like Barbie and Ken, such dolls.

This couple is so very elegant in top hat and tails.

Dressing up in Groveland has a special meaning and its all about fun

A 25th Anniversary party for Jack and Jeannie, our good friends

Everybody dances at the Charlotte!

A special Friday the 13th black tie dinner-dance event.

This is a slow loading webpage, its all pictures. Take your time and enjoy our parties, events and carrying ons that make the Charlotte so special. Then take another moment to call us and schedule your special moments!

Nude Photo Shoot Today, We used this sign to discourage walk-in visitors on the day we shot the Red Hats Calendar Girls 2007 Calendar. Needless to say, it seemed to encourage folks to HAVE to stop in.
This is Catherine, a little charmer in her pink. She perfectly matched the flowers in both color and height. Little Catherine, I think her favorite color must be pink. Cute as a button!
Horses love to visit the Charlotte and it gives an old west feel to the place. We tried to get the horse into the Hotel for a photo, but it just didn't happen. What a shot that would have been—at the piano or bellied up to the bar? Shari while riding through town stopped to say hello. Horses love the Hotel Charlotte!
These kids went to their first wedding from the Charlotte. She was the flower girl and he the ring guy. They were really quite excited and we very much enjoyed their positive energy. These charmers were off to their first wedding, he a ring guy, she as flower girl. They were so excited!
These ladies came for a rafting trip and borrowed all of our hats. They looked great and we started collecting hats for guests to to use in the park or around town for shade or style. These ladies started a hat thing at the Hotel Charlotte after returning from a raft trip with a great deal of sun burn!
This is Groveland's Girl Scout Troop 199 who came to the Charlotte for a lesson in a commercial kitchen. They thought they were just going to stir some ingredients, but Victor had them make a full meal, just like a restaurant might do. Of course, we then got to eat it. I was to show the girls how to set a proper table, but they were more interested in the behind the scenes stuff that Victor was teaching. Victor taught the local Girl Scout Troup 199 a little something about working a commercial kitchen. We hope to hire some of these gals as they come of age.
These gals hale from Finland and dressed up each evening for dinner. While here they enrolled in the Junior Ranger program through Yosemite National Park and had some fun homework each evening. These young ladies from Finland dressed for dinner each night. They took the Junior Ranger program in Yosemite and had homework every evening.
This was our first bride. She dashed into the hotel for a quick change on her way to Yosemite Chapel for the wedding stopping only quickly enough for me to capture the moments. I think she liked the giraffe. I would be most pleased if she would stop in again on her way to the park when she next celebrates her anniversary This was our first bride. She took a shine to our giraff!
The Hotel Charlotte was named Home of the Red Hats in 2006. We have 3 local groups, the Red Hat Posse, Red Hat Mommas and the Sierra Red Hats, all who book a lunch or breakfast a couple of times a year at the Charlotte. We always have fun!
Our annual New Year's Eve party has become a tradition and one of the most sought after invitations in Grovelan. I am thrilled that I don't have to do the inviting! It would be way too hard. Thanks to Jack and Jeannie who gave me the cool glasses. Everyone wanted their picture with these on.
This last year the Hotel Charlotte was a hopping holiday venue hosting breakfasts, lunches and dinners throughout the month of December. We had to have our own holiday party in January. Holiday events happen at the Charlotte, from mid-day office gatherings to evening gift exchanges.
Groveland loves a good Halloween! These little devils are the daughters of two employees, Michelle who waitresses for us and Brenda who now sells houses. Kids come to Groveland from miles and miles away just to enjoy our home grown Halloween fun!
These are Shari's kids, Barbara & Josh and we have truly watched them grow up from tiny munchkins to goat riding award winning cowboy and cow girl! When asked at school what they were going to be when they grew up...Barbara said a Hotel Charlotte waitress....I was tickled and am holding a spot for her 10 years down the road. Groveland likes to dress up for the occasion and teaches their children at a young age to enjoy the art of a good party!
This is Lisa our loan officer and good friend. She used to be our Sysco rep and that was fun. Parties seem to happen where ever Lisa goes. She makes a delicious caviar pie if you go for that stuff. It even color matched our Christmas tree. Yosemite Chamber of Commerce holiday mixer is held at the Charlotte.

And a little space for Kay, the Groveland's decorator extraordinaire!

Kay decorates Groveland throughout the season Kay has more costumes than Cher ever did Kay is a bundle of energy and keeps this town looking good.
Whether dressing up Groveland with her collection of costumes or dressing the buildings, posts and pillars for some special event, Kay is a one of a kind gal and we are lucky to have her in our town.
