| The
Yosemite Chamber of
Commerce hosts the Annual 49er Festival and Chili Cook-off where
we see Groveland's population double for a day! |
 |
| Groveland, with the
Stanislaus National Forest in our back yard is an excellent setting
for horseback riding with trails laced throughout the region, in the
hills and down to the Tuolumne River. |
 |
| Mountain Sage is Groveland's
newest destination with gourmet coffees, a hammock garden and all day
long wireless connections. |
 |
| Downtown Groveland is only
about 6 blocks from the bank to the Grocery Store with the Hotel
Charlotte smack-dab in the middle. |
 |
| Red Hats clubs are a
colorful addition to the community. With three local groups, hardly a
week goes by without some event or another where the ladies are all
bedecked in purples and reds. Most entertaining are the breakfast
(pajama) get togethers! |
 |
| The Tuolumne River is ranked
one of the top 10 floats in the world. Many rafting trips start with a
night at the Charlotte and end with another night at the Charlotte and
a massage! |
 |
| Groveland's Quilt Guild
boasts 80 members! This year they are hosting their first Quilt Stroll
on June 9th. Fashioned after the Groveland Art Strolls the Quilters
will hang their quilts throughout the town from end to end. A colorful
day to be sure! |
 |
| On our way to Yosemite for a
Gateway meeting last fall, we ended up in the middle of the Cattle run
bringing the fattened cows down from the hills to their winter fields. |
 |
| Groveland, with wooden
sidewalks in places and covered walkways in others. Muralled builings
and artistic signs...all very neat. |
 |
| The Groveland Art Stroll has
grown to a three day event, Sundays of our big holidays, May 27th,
July 1st and September 2nd. |
 |
| Terri Metz sets up a big
booth right across the street from us. She has many local pieces, some
of which you see throughout this website. |
 |
| Our local Jail House dates
back to 1895 and the grounds are kept by the Garden Club. |
